Roxanne invited me to be a part of the Cotillion de honor on her debut, I never refused because it is one of a kind experience (actually this was my first time to dance and attend a debut party). I was hoping that she will partner me to a girl who is an YFC member or to my crush (you know who she is! C_ _ _ a) but unfortunately she partnered me to her very best friend Marinel aka Manel.

Well we practiced a lot almost 5-6 Saturday nights at the Nicolas Garden Resort. We are taught by Sir M (tama ba? Msg nio ko pag

mali

), his steps were not that difficult but kind of tricky (step, turn, place, twist, rotate and KARTSEI). On our first practice I met my partner Manel (Roxanne of SCQ look alike), she’s makulit and funny, she always laughs at me when I do a mistake and when naaapakan na feet ko. At least we are obedient on his commands!.

Finally the day of Roxanne came: It was Aug. 27, 05,

7:00pm

(pero almost

8 o’clock

na nagstart!). The gentlemen and the ladies of the night came! The ladies are very gorgeous and beautiful that night! (E.g. the choir members, her classmates and the YFC’s and the birthday girl Ma. Ramella Roxanne Balunes!) Especially na si. .  . (you know who she is!) sige na nga! Si CARLA po yun (pinakamaganda! Nabighani talaga ako!) Here’s her pic:

The leaders of NB6 are there too! Kuya Bhem, Kuya Peter, Ate Michelle, Kuya Arjay and Majo. Majo was the very intriguing singer that I’ve ever seen. While she’s singing on the party with the cookies and cream band on the middle of the song, a BROWN OUT ate the place on a few seconds! Totally the place is blacked! The song stopped and the people were just like “Oh my Golly! Is this the end of the earth!??” <Ha-Ha!> but when the brown out ended and the light came back, the party goes on and the song were continually sung! Majo doesn’t feel embarrassed on what happened but continue on singing! (We and the others screamed and wowed to Majo! (para daw kasing biyuti queen na nadapa at tumayo na parang wala lang sa isang biyuti contest!).

Cotillion

When we are called to prepare our selves on the back for the cotillion, I was really nervous and my stomach is aching too! Coz I ate too much (tsalap nung food Rox!).

On the moment that we are dancing, almost all of us did a mistake! Especially me and Manel! (Di na po sabay sabay, tapos Kung saan-saan ko pa dinadala partner ko!) But it’s ok! At least our hard work profits us even if maraming

Balloonbabida

The said night was to be ended on a ballroom dancing and dance party but no one occupied the dance floor instead they go home and rest. The party ended almost

2:00

in the morning. But our night did not end up like this. . . We and the other YFC’s had a night swimming. The pool was not that too deep, its deepness was to be the same of my height! (kaya nandun ako sa may malalim). I, Carlo and Athan discovered a new floating device, the balloonbabida! Hehe! Only a balloon. On the morning, nothing more to do and we’re really bored, we had our mini Praisefest! Led by kuya Bhem! Athan on Piano, Majo and others on vocals and on Guitars. . . (I forgot who played the guitar!? Is it Kuya Arjay?) I think. WHAT A JAM and a great morning!.

Only few of us stayed on the resort namely: Me, Ivan, Athan, Francis, Gil, Michael and the other classmates of Roxanne left because Tito Mon (father of rox) told us na sumabay na lang sa van nila 12o’clock ng lunch! We had a singing contest on a videoke! The score was according to the videoke machine and we think the machine had a serious problem coz it scores the not well singed song higher than the singed well, look who’s on the 1^st! And here’s the result:

While we are eating the lunch (before we go home), Roxanne’s dad told us some of the good memories of Rox’ child years. And we discovered that Roxanne is a very brave and boyish type of girl according to her dad’s stories example

Cellphone story:

After/before their exam on UST w/ her classmate while walking on the street near the campus, a man tried to get their phones and holdup…

Man: akin na yang cellphone niyo!!! (galit at nananakot)

Roxanne: (biglang hawi sa kaklase at hinarap ang mama at walang takot na sinabi sabay              takbo?. . .)

               HINDI NAMIN IBIBIGAY CELLPHONE NAMIN! YAAAAAH!!

Man: (mukhang natulala at pinagpawisan sa takot! Sabi ni athan na baka raw nagbagong buhay na itong taong ito dahil sa katapangan at bangis na ipinakita ni Roxanne!)

Then we went back home!

Rox, galing mo ah nabago mo buhay niya!

I dreamed I had an interview with God.

So you would like to interview me? God asked.

If you have the time” I said.

God smiled. My time is eternity.
What questions do you have in mind for me?

What surprises you most about humankind?

God answered…
That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.

That they lose their health to make money…
and then lose their money to restore their health.

That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
such that they live in neither
the present nor the future.

"That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived.

God hand took mine
and we were silent for a while.

And then I asked…
As a parent, what are some of life lessons
you want your children to learn?

To learn they cannot make anyone
love them. All they can do
is let themselves be loved.

To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.

To learn to forgive
by practicing forgiveness.

To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it can take many years to heal them.

To learn that a rich person
is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.

To learn that there are people

how to express or show their feelings.

grabe talaga nung praise fest nung sunday (july, 17 2005)!

we had our praise fest at pasig! and it’s really a wonderful experience kahit marami ang wala! we really enjoy bonding w/  the siga!! especially amor, joy and kampanerang nica! hehe!

akala namin late na kami! sakto lang pala! the worship leader leave w/ some meaningful lines about worshipping on each and everyone of us:

"Worshipping is not about the words…, its about the spirit!

he teached us some new songs on yfc. like trailblazin and many more,. sayang we didn’t bring  a camera so we miss some memorable moments.. tsk,tsk,tsk!

we sung the praises to GOD! w/ our song in our heart! wooohoooo! the memorable part is you’ll get a person that will pray over to you! my tears start to fall that time! that moment really strenghtens ones friendship!

i am really blessed that day! my parents told me not to go to the pasig because the transportation is expensive! and too many reasons like i served enough because i prepared a prayermiting last night and i served a chapter kuya on kfc assembly that day too but god let me attend the praisefest paren and let me feel hisloving presence!

i may say that that day, god is really victorious!!!
